Liz Neuman

Liz Neuman is a Doctor of Physical Therapy specializing in perinatal and pelvic floor physical therapy at New Journey Physical Therapy, located in Highland Park, IL. Liz believes that people should be able to live their lives not limited by pain. Her passion lies in helping parents and athletes alike continue or return to activities.

Liz enjoys treating new parents and giving them space to heal themselves, while understanding the reality of being a new parent and the challenges that it brings. She believes in a hands on approach with manual therapy and education in movement patterns, lifestyle modifications, and exercise. Liz is also certified in trigger point dry needling, which allows her to treat muscular limitations more efficiently.

Bria Florell

Bria is a birth doula and childbirth educator located in Minneapolis, Minnesota!  She is passionate about supporting families (queer affirming) as they prepare for their birth through education, options, and advocacy. Bria’s goal is to help families avoid unnecessary birth trauma and maintain bodily autonomy. She does this work to empower families to feel confident in their choices, and stack the deck in favor for their ideal birth. 

Bria attends births in all Twin Cities locations: hospitals, birth centers, and home births. 

Katherine Uttech

Kate Uttech is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health at New Journey Physical Therapy, located in Highland Park, IL. Kate is a prenatal, postpartum, and pelvic health specialist. She is passionate about empowering people to experience more enjoyable pregnancies, easier deliveries, and smoother recoveries, on the journey to parenthood and beyond.

Kate utilizes manual therapy techniques, lifestyle and nutritional modifications, education on movement patterns, and exercise to help you live life without limitations. She also provides labor preparation and education by analyzing your symptoms to make personalized recommendations for delivery positions that assist in the ability to relax your pelvic floor.

Teresa Quinn, LCSW

Teresa is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Chicago, IL providing trauma-informed therapy to people managing grief, loss, chronic illnesses, and life adjustments (like transitioning to parenthood). She specializes in EMDR therapy and incorporates additional holistic healing modalities, like expressive arts, yoga, and breathwork into her care.

Jen Serba

Jen is a certified Bed Rest and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula at Gold Coast Doulas, located in Grand Rapids, MI. Jen obtained an Associate’s degree in Nursing in 2016. During the nursing leadership rotation, she worked independently in Labor and Delivery and found it to be the most rewarding work and best fitting department. Since then, she has been working as a procedure nurse and is also ACLS/BLS Certified. Jen loves caring for mothers and babies, bringing calm, comfort, and confidence into a home.

Audra Geyer

Audra is a certified Birth, Bed Rest, and Postpartum & Infant Care Doula at Gold Coast Doulas, located in Grand Rapids, MI. With her calming attitude as well as her passion for mindfulness and meditation, Audra is excited to help support women and their partners throughout their pregnancy, labor, and delivery. 

Mia Travers

Mia is a certified Birth and Postpartum Doula at Gold Coast Doulas, located in Grand Rapids, MI. With a profound understanding of the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of birth and postpartum, Mia’s mission is to ensure that everyone she works with feels empowered, informed, and supported throughout this transformative chapter of their lives.

Katie Bertsch

Katie is a certified Birth Doula at Gold Coast Doulas, located in Grand Rapids, MI. Katie has heard from too many women that they feel that their birth happened TO them, feeling out of control, helpless, and vulnerable. Katie decided to learn more about pregnancy and birth so that she is able to support couples in growing their families!

Angel Mattes

Angel is a certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, Childbirth & Lactation Educator, Sleep Consultant, and Child Passenger Safety Technician at Collective Strength Doula Services. Angel helps facilitate conversations with healthcare providers, and is passionate about empowering new parents to know their rights, and learn how to advocate for themselves. She helps sort through the myths, rumors, well-meaning advice, and misinformation during what tends to be a very overwhelming time of transition. Angel is happy to be serving the surrounding areas of Northwest Arkansas!

Being able to bear witness as women become mothers and discover their own strengths, to see new families grow, and to help new parents find their confidence and forge their own path in the world… this is a gift, and a role that I am proud to serve.

Alyssa Zapata

Alyssa is a certified Birth Doula at Gold Coast Doulas, located in Grand Rapids, MI. She believes that pregnancy and birth are natural parts of life, and that women are far stronger and more capable than they know or give themselves credit for. Birth is just one part of the picture, and the best experience can be gained when pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period are all treated as equally important.
